Scriptures for Your New Home

Whether you are needing faith for a new home, or faith for Shalom (peace) in your home or faith for some other blessing in your home, if you meditate on these scriptures faith will come. Be sure to obey whatever God tells you to do as a corresponding action and then the blessing will follow.

 

Proverbs 24:3-4   –  Through wisdom a house is built, And by understanding it is established; By knowledge the rooms are filled With all precious and pleasant riches. (NKJV)

Deuteronomy 6:10-11  –  “So it shall be, when the Lord your God brings you into the land of which He swore to your fathers, to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, to give you large and beautiful cities which you did not build, 11 houses full of all good things, which you did not fill, hewn-out wells which you did not dig, vineyards and olive trees which you did not plant—when you have eaten and are full— (NKJV)

Psalm 107:7-9  – He led them forth by the straight and right way, that they might go to a city where they could establish their homes. Oh, that men would praise [and confess to] the Lord for His goodness and loving-kindness and His wonderful works to the children of men!For He satisfies the longing soul and fills the hungry soul with good. (AMPC) 

Psalm 112  – Praise the Lord!  Blessed is the man who fears the Lord,
Who delights greatly in His commandments. His descendants will be mighty on earth;
The generation of the upright will be blessed. Wealth and riches will be in his house,
And his righteousness endures forever. Unto the upright there arises light in the darkness; He is gracious, and full of compassion, and righteous. A good man deals graciously and lends; He will guide his affairs with discretion. Surely he will never be shaken; The righteous will be in everlasting remembrance. He will not be afraid of evil tidings; His heart is steadfast, trusting in the LordHis heart is established;
He will not be afraid, Until he sees his desire upon his enemies. He has dispersed abroad, He has given to the poor; His righteousness endures forever; His horn will be exalted with honor. 10 The wicked will see it and be grieved; He will gnash his teeth and melt away; The desire of the wicked shall perish. (NKJV)

Proverbs 24:27  – Prepare your outside work, Make it fit for yourself in the field;
And afterward build your house. (NKJV)

Proverbs 15:6  – In the house of the [uncompromisingly] righteous is great [priceless] treasure, but with the income of the wicked is trouble and vexation. (AMPC)

Isaiah 32:17-18 – And the effect of righteousness will be peace [internal and external], and the result of righteousness will be quietness and confident trust forever. 18 My people shall dwell in a peaceable habitation, in safe dwellings, and in quiet resting-places. (AMPC)

Jeremiah 29:4-7, 29 – Thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel, to all who were carried away captive, whom I have caused to be carried away from Jerusalem to Babylon: Build houses and dwell in them; plant gardens and eat their fruit. Take wives and beget sons and daughters; and take wives for your sons and give your daughters to husbands, so that they may bear sons and daughters—that you may be increased there, and not diminished. And seek the peace of the city where I have caused you to be carried away captive, and pray to the Lord for it; for in its peace you will have peace. 29 Now Zephaniah the priest read this letter in the hearing of Jeremiah the prophet. (NKJV)

Jeremiah 31:12-14 –  Therefore they shall come and sing in the height of Zion, Streaming to the goodness of the Lord— For wheat and new wine and oil, For the young of the flock and the herd; Their souls shall be like a well-watered garden, And they shall sorrow no more at all. 13 “Then shall the virgin rejoice in the dance, And the young men and the old, together; For I will turn their mourning to joy, Will comfort them, And make them rejoice rather than sorrow. 14 I will satiate the soul of the priests with abundance, And My people shall be satisfied with My goodness, says the Lord.” (NKJV)

Proverbs 9:1 – Wisdom has built her house, She has hewn out her seven pillars; (NKJV)

Proverbs 10:22 – The blessing of the Lord makes one rich, And He adds no sorrow with it. (NKJV)

Psalm 107:29-32, 35-38, 41-43,  –  He hushes the storm to a calm and to a gentle whisper, so that the waves of the sea are still. 30 Then the men are glad because of the calm, and He brings them to their desired haven. 31 Oh, that men would praise [and confess to] the Lord for His goodness and loving-kindness and His wonderful works to the children of men! 32 Let them exalt Him also in the congregation of the people and praise Him in the company of the elders 35 He turns a wilderness into a pool of water and a dry ground into water springs; 36 And there He makes the hungry to dwell, that they may prepare a city for habitation, 37 And sow fields, and plant vineyards which yield fruits of increase. 38 He blesses them also, so that they are multiplied greatly, and allows not their cattle to decrease. 41 Yet He raises the poor and needy from affliction and makes their families like a flock. 42 The upright shall see it and be glad, but all iniquity shall shut its mouth. 43 Whoso is wise [if there be any truly wise] will observe and heed these things; and they will diligently consider the mercy and loving-kindness of the Lord. (AMPC)

Psalm 66:12 – You have caused men to ride over our heads; We went through fire and through water; But You brought us out to rich fulfillment. (NKJV)

Proverbs 12:7 – The wicked are overthrown and are no more, But the house of the righteous will stand.(NKJV)

Psalm 118:5, 23 – I called on the Lord in distress; The Lord answered me and set me in a broad place. 23 This was the Lord’s doing; It is marvelous in our eyes. (NKJV)

Psalm 66:12 – You let people ride over our heads; we went through fire and water,
    but you brought us to a place of abundance. (NIV)

Psalm 68:6,10,19 – God places the solitary in families and gives the desolate a home in which to dwell; He leads the prisoners out to prosperity; but the rebellious dwell in a parched land. 10 Your flock found a dwelling place in it; You, O God, in Your goodness did provide for the poor and needy.  Blessed be the Lord, Who bears our burdens and carries us day by day, even the God Who is our salvation! Selah [pause, and calmly think of that]!(AMPC)

Psalm 40:17 – But I am poor and needy; Yet the Lord thinks upon me. You are my help and my deliverer; Do not delay, O my God. (NKJV)

Luke 4:18 – “The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, Because He has anointed Me
To preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted,
To proclaim liberty to the captives And recovery of sight to the blind,
To set at liberty those who are oppressed; (NKJV)

Amos 9:13-15 – “Behold, the days are coming,” says the Lord,
“When the plowman shall overtake the reaper, And the treader of grapes him who sows seed; The mountains shall drip with sweet wine, And all the hills shall flow with it.
14 I will bring back the captives of My people Israel; They shall build the waste cities and inhabit them; They shall plant vineyards and drink wine from them; They shall also make gardens and eat fruit from them. 15 I will plant them in their land,
And no longer shall they be pulled up From the land I have given them,” Says the Lord your God. (NKJV)

Psalm 16:5-6 – LordYou are the portion of my inheritance and my cup;
You maintain my lot. The lines have fallen to me in pleasant places;
Yes, I have a good inheritance. (NKJV)

Psalm 31:19-20 – Oh, how great is Your goodness, Which You have laid up for those who fear You, Which You have prepared for those who trust in You In the presence of the sons of men! 20 You shall hide them in the secret place of Your presence From the plots of man; You shall keep them secretly in a pavilion From the strife of tongues. (NKJV)

1 Corinthians 2:7-10 –   But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, the hidden wisdomwhich God ordained before the ages for our glory, which none of the rulers of this age knew; for had they known, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. But as it is written: “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, Nor have entered into the heart of man The things which God has prepared for those who love Him.” 10 But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God. (NKJV)

Acts 17:26 – And He has made from one blood every nation of men to dwell on all the face of the earth, and has determined their preappointed times and the boundaries of their dwellings, (NKJV)
