Hello! This post is the first from the newest Christian Hope writer, Morgan! She’s a teenager with a heart for God, a passion for music, and a desire to help you! Without further blather from me, here’s her first post! – Tammy
Do you have a case of the “Monday Blues”? Do you feel as though you “can’t help” but feel every Monday is a bad day? Well, I can help! Or rather, God can! First off, let me bring it into this light for you: God made everything good, correct? Did He not also make the days? Is Monday a day? Therefore, Monday is good BECAUSE He created it. As is Tuesday, Wednesday, etc.
Now, let me tell you something else. Yeah, Monday’s the day we all go back to school or work, or whatever it is that you do. But also, it’s the start of a brand new week, a fresh start. If you aren’t already, start by reading the Bible and praying. I can’t really tell you how much to pray or read, only the Holy Spirit can do that. Do what you are led to do, and I guarantee that the more you do this, the more enjoyable your days will get until it’s not just enjoyable, but something you look forward to, something you just can’t wait to get to! Get excited for Monday! You have no idea what God has planned for you that day, so don’t let the grumps stop that blessing that could easily happen!
Remember, no one—including God—is forcing you to enjoy today and tomorrow. Only you can decide what you do. Anything God has for you, He isn’t forcing you to take it. It’s up to you to decide if you are going to take it or leave it. Any stubbornness toward this is a little thing called pride. Actually, it’s not little at all. It’s huge. God says in 1 Peter 5:5 that “God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble.” What that means is just that. If you are prideful, He will resist you. But if you are humble, He will give you grace. He will also give you favor along with His grace. Proof of this is located in the New International Version: “God opposes the proud but shows favor to the humble.”
Now, I could keep talking about this for a very long time, but I won’t. Just make it a routine to read and pray according to what He says to do, and please do it with a willing and glad heart. Have a good Monday, everyone. 🙂
