“Thy word is a lamp to my feet, and a light to my path” (Psalms 119:105).
Expect to hear from God today!
Week Thirty-Six – Day 1:
Study points:
-
Judah’s unwillingness to repent has dire consequences.
-
Even for us, believers in Messiah, unwillingness to repent has consequences that may affect our entire lifetimes.
-
Trusting in works and how things look outwardly (going to the temple in Jeremiah’s case) without repentance was not going to prevent judgment.
-
Their hearts had to change and become circumcised, also.
-
God did not give us a spirit of fear.
-
God did give us a spirit of power, love, and a sound mind.
-
“That day” is a reference to the end-time judgment of God’s wrath.
-
I know in whom I believe.
