Hope Notes – In the Mouth of Two or Three… – Oct 31,2011

Paul reminds us in 2 Corinthians 13:1 that every matter must be established by two or three witnesses.

2 Corinthians 13:1 This is the third time I am coming to you. In the mouth of two or three witnesses shall every word be established. (KJV)

This is actually a matter of law.

Deuteronomy 19:15 One witness shall not rise up against a man for any iniquity, or for any sin, in any sin that he sinneth: at the mouth of two witnesses, or at the mouth of three witnesses, shall the matter be established. (KJV)

It is important that when forming any doctrine based on scripture we make sure it is found in the mouth of two or three witnesses.

But there is something else I want you to see today.

Our enemy, satan, is very legalistic. He loves to force, and usethe law against you.

There are two witnesses in every situation in your life.

The enemy crying condemnation, sin and failure at you.

And your heavenly Father speaking life, healing and wisdom.

What side will you line up your words with? What side will you become to be that second witness to establish a matter?

Speak life, speak the Word and establish God’s word in your life today in all situations!

-Be Blessed

Sukkot – Feast of Tabernacles

Jesus/Yeshua wasn’t born in December, most folks know that. What they may not know is that He was born during the Feast of Tabernacles , also called Sukkot.

The festivals teach us so much about our God and Savior, Jesus (Yeshua) that all Christians should know more about them. As always, use wisdom when studying these things and keep your eyes on Messiah!

Happy Birthday, Lord! πŸ™‚

Hope Notes – Saying is important – October 6, 2011

As I was reading the other night in a devotional by Mark Brazee something was shown to me for the first time and I wanted to share it with you.

Hebrews 11:3 Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.

God created the world by speaking it into existence. From His Word, the world came into being.
We know this from the first book of the bible, Genesis and the first chapter.

Genesis 1:3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.

So far so good! πŸ™‚

In Mark 11:22 Jesus said “Have faith in God” or the proper translation is “Have the faith of God”.

What is the God-kind of faith?

Hebrews 11:3, above, gives us a hint when it says God spoke the universe into existence.

In Isaiah 40:12 it says God measured out the heavens in the span of His hand and measured the waters in the hollow of His hand.

God believed He could created the universe and He knew exactly what it would look like when He was done. Think on that a minute.

God could have stepped up and said “universe, Be!” and everything would have spun into existence immediately.

God chose not to do it this way but to do it over 7 days. Why?

Now remember the Word of God is like an onion, there are many layers to it, and most of us have learned many reasons about why 7 days etc. Prophetically a day is a 1000 years and so forth. And those are all absolutely correct.

Here is another layer to consider…

I believe one reason God created a day at a time is to show us how the God-kind of faith works.

So God said, “Let there be light (or light! BE! is the exact translation)” And there was light.
But since God already believed He could speak the worlds into existence, how come the whole universe didn’t appear right then?

Here is a big point. God did not get what He believed, He got what He said.

Nothing more, nothing less.

God believed, of course, that He could create the entire universe., but only what He actually said came into manifestation at that point.

Faith works the same for us. You might believe a lot of things, but you’ll receive what you believe and say.

Selah….

Blessings,
-Kath

Somethings bear repeating! Oct 1, 2011 – Division in the body

In recent years God has been dealing with me on many levels about division in the body.
It is a large reason that the Church, the body of Messiah, is not accomplishing all that she should.

Recently we had a great loss to the body when a precious brother went home to be with the Lord. Great gain for him, Great loss for us here on this earth. He went too soon. God did not “take him”, God does not kill. The enemy comes to kill, steal and destroy. But that’s another whole blog post! πŸ™‚

I believe, in small part, that this brother was stolen from us because of divisions in the body that opened up doors for the deceiver to come in and steal, kill and destroy. There is much more to it, but I believe that Matthew 12:25 comes true in the body of Christ because we attack, chew on and bite at our own. We are allowing the killing of each other and ourselves if we allow this into our lives.

Matthew 12:25 And Jesus knew their thoughts, and said unto them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and every city or house divided against itself shall not stand:

Let me say very clearly…..KNOCK IT OFF!

I am not saying there aren’t things that are off in some folks lives or in the body of Christ. I promise you, there are, and there are in our own lives as well. (mote in the eye, anyone?) I am saying that it is not our job to spend 24/7 pointing out errors in the body. It is our job to be ministers of reconciliation!

So I will point you to a blog post I did back in May, and I pray it ministers to your heart and helps you keep your eyes on Him. He has showing this to me so strongly the past few days that I felt I needed to repeat it yet again (as much to myself as anyone else.)

Thank the Lord for His mercy and His wisdom to guide us away from things that are just distractions and back into the vision for His Body in these last days!

For your review, here is the blog post about how much God *HATES* when we sow discord among the brethren.
Bad Math

Be blessed!! He is coming soon!!

Hope Notes – Knitting is spiritual?

As a knitter and a crocheter I am extremely familiar with Proverbs 31 and the verses that deal with the woman of the house working with fine wools etc.

Recently though I’ve been pondering the work that went into the temple and the temple curtains and garments etc. These were craftsman and woman that used their craft to minister. So I thought I’d share my thoughts.

For some of us, our crafting is just natural talent given to us by God, but for others it can be a spiritual gift.

Exodus 28:3
New American Standard Bible (NASB)
3 You shall speak to all the skillful persons whom I have endowed with the spirit of wisdom, that they make Aaron’s garments to consecrate him, that he may minister as priest to Me.

Exodus 31:3-5
New American Standard Bible (NASB)
3 I have filled him with the Spirit of God in wisdom, in understanding, in knowledge, and in all kinds of craftsmanship, 4 to make artistic designs for work in gold, in silver, and in bronze, 5 and in the cutting of stones for settings, and in the carving of wood, that he may work in all kinds of craftsmanship.

The literal meaning of crafting/craftsmanship is to craft, design, or build.

The gift of Crafting is the divine enablement to creatively design and/or construct items to be used for ministry.

People with this gift work with wood, cloth, paints, metal, glass and other raw materials.
They make things which increase the effectiveness of others’ ministries.
The enjoy serving with their hands to meet tangible needs.
They design and build tangible items and resources for ministry use.
They work with different kinds of tools and are skilled with their hands.

They are creative, designers, handy, resourceful, practical, behind-the-scenes, and helpful

There are some cautions for people with these gifts.
They could fail to see that their gift as significant and one that makes a spiritual contribution to the body.
They should remember that the things they produce are just a means to the end and not the end itself

Here are some other scriptures: Ex. 31:3, 35:31-35, Acts 9:36-39, 2 Kings 22:5-6

Be blessed!

10th Anniversary of September 11, 2001 – Billye Brim – Cry out America

PRAYER FOR AMERICA

Dear Pray-ers,

I have been an active part of this group for several years, because I believe in United Corporate Prayer for an Awakening to God in America. Please read this from “Cry Out America” and see how you can be a part of Crying Out to God together on the tenth anniversary of September 11, 2001.

And remember our verse that we pray to keep America safe from covert evil plans.

Hebrews 4:13, “Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in His sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of Him with whom we have to do.”

In Him,

Billye Brim

A special message from The Awakening America Alliance:

The Awakening America Alliance was established several years ago under the direction of Billy Wilson, Executive Director of the International Center for Spiritual Renewal. The purpose of the Alliance is to provide a broad umbrella under which the body of Christ in America can unite together in seeking a contemporary spiritual awakening.

The heart of Awakening America is focused on prayer on 9/11 for an awakening, for repentance, and for spiritual renewal in America. This focus has birthed “Cry Out America.” “Cry Out America’s” goal is a public gathering led by a county coordinator on 9/11 focused on prayer for America. This year since 9/11 falls on Sunday, we have also targeted churches and ask that they sign up on our website stating that they will have a time of special prayer for a Christ awakening in America during their Sunday morning worship service.

Our website is http://www.awakeningamerica.us. On the website, you will find an abundance of information about “Cry Out America” including media and other resources.

We appreciate the opportunity to join this great network of prayer warriors led by Billye Brim.

We need your help! Even though we have thousands of churches and county coordinators combined, we need county coordinators and churches to sign up to lead a time of special prayer for America on 9/11/11. We need your county and every church in your county crying out for America. We realize it is late for county coordinators to be signing up, but all we are asking you to do is to gather people to pray at a public venue such as your county courthouse, city hall, etc. during the afternoon of Sunday, 9/11/11.

If you can assist us, please go to our website and click on Sign Up/County to serve as a county coordinator. If your county already has a coordinator, please contact them and offer to work with them. Also, please ask churches to go to our website and click on Sign Up/Church and register their church stating they will be praying for a Christ awakening during their morning service on 9/11/11.

Our goal is to have prayer in all 3,143 counties in the United States. This year is the ten-year anniversary of 9/11/01 and is an opportune time to call the nation’s attention back to God. With all the financial issues and the catastrophic storms, earthquakes, etc. we fill we can reach out to Americans in a special way this year.

Please help us by joining together on 9/11 to pray for our nation.

Hope Notes – August 7, 2011 – Rick Renner Video

Rick Renner has fast become on of my favorite teachers of the Word. He is a Greek scholar (and author) and teaches the deeper meaning of the Scriptures through understanding the words of the Greek in the New Testament. Which sounds all “heavy” but he is very down to earth and easy to understand.

Just about every morning he shares a video clip on his Facebook page that is only a few minutes long, but is like manna from heaven! Today he shared on healing and it really blessed me, so I wanted to share the info.
Just because you don’t see manifestation of healing right away, doesn’t mean you aren’t healed!
You can find it at the link below. I’d also recommend you go to his Facebook page and click on like so you get his videos on your Facebook wall every day when he posts them!

What is the difference between a miracle and healing?
