Study points:

Isaiah 41-44

• Isaiah’s words here are layered prophecies. They speak of Israel as a nation, her servanthood to God, and His constant defense of her. But they also speak of Messiah, His servanthood to mankind.

Philippians 2

• Jesus (Yeshua in Hebrew) the servant. He put on that role by choice.

• We are to have the same mind as the humble servant, checking always to do the things listed in this chapter. We are to be like-minded, in love, one accord, esteem others as greater than ourselves, and look out for the interests of others first.

• Do all things without complaining or disputing.

• Be lights in the world, holding fast the word of life.
